I was informed that there would be new management upon moving in. While I was initially weary of this change; the new manager, Katrina, has proven to be an exceptional leader. She has made tremendous efforts to improve the property, and I can already see the difference since I first moved in. Not only is the property more clean, but Katrina also ensures that the work orders are getting done promptly. Maintenance is very friendly as well. Bourbon has done an amazing job keeping up with the property, even while the office is short staffed.

This place is gorgeous! I'm in the process of getting an apartment here, and I can't wait to move in. The community is on a quiet road, yet close to amenities and convenient to the freeway. It's a larger complex with three stories, but it was quiet and clean, and they have great rental rates with add-ons like storage units and garage parking.

After reading some of these reviews, I'm saddened! I will be relocating back to San Antonio at the end of the summer (August 2024)! When I lived in San Antonio a few years back, I lived at Hill Country Villas. And it was the most relaxing and beautiful place to stay. The staff they had at the time were top-notch, top-tier amazing ladies. HCV was truly a paradise at that time. I started off in a one bedroom, About 4 months after I moved in, one of my really good friends was being stationed at Lackland as well. We decided to be roommates. We both worked at WHMC and we were best friends. The HCV staff allowed me to transfer my 15 month lease over to secure the 3 bedroom townhouse! Every month the leasing office would have an event for residents, whether it was a dinner or a kick back, A barbecue, taco night, etc, we were always treated very well. But after Reading these reviews I have to second guess going back there... That's saddens me.

Great neighborhood, great location, and I’ll give it my own personal walk score of 10/10 because I love to run around the block. Nice and peaceful. Most of all the staff here is where it matters most. It’s always the people, not the place. The manager Ayofini is very kind and hardworking, and a pleasure to be around. I can tell the maintenance crew does their due diligence and are hard workers to say the least!

I have lived here for a year now, and never once did I have an issue regarding the apartment. The staff here are always so welcoming and eager to help! My neighbors are sweet and I never had any issues with them. Pet owners do a great job making sure to clean up after their pets! I highly recommend living at the Hill Country Villas!

Heard about these apartments through multiple websites when getting to know information about starting the process Marlene was very helpful and when signing I was able to be assisted by Celeste who is awesome at helping out and being informative. While staying here my first month I was able to put in a maintenance request and the next day I get a call to set up a time for scheduling some possible repair time. Raul from the maintenance team is awesome at being safe with covid protocol and repairing a vent in the bathroom swiftly and efficiently. Much respect to the team handling these apartments.

Been at this complex for 1 month now. When I did my walkthrough there were a few issues that needed to get fixed and I want to thank Marlene, Celeste, Jennifer, and Jesse for jumping on it and making sure that it all gets fixed. I’ve had a great experience so far. One thing I would say is there is a parking issue late in the evenings but I just don’t want to pay extra to have a secured parking under the carports. (So this could be my fault). Also a few lights are still out around the complex but I’m sure they will get fixed soon.

When I did my walkthrough there were a few issues that needed to get fixed and I want to thank Marlene, Celeste, Jennifer, and Jesse for jumping on it and making sure that it all gets fixed. I’ve had a great experience so far. One thing I would say is there is a parking issue late in the evenings but I just don’t want to pay extra to have a secured parking under the carports. (So this could be my fault). Also a few lights are still out around the complex but I’m sure they will get fixed soon.

Me and my Fiance just moved in yesterday 6/26/20 with the help of Mishalei Griffith. What a big help and a relief she has been with the whole process. We looked and looked around but two things were the deciding factor. Number 1 was Mishalei she made us feel like we finally found a place we can call home and she made us feel welcomed unlike others were it felt like "here we go again". She made the experience warmth, wholesome and most of all she genuinely cared and that hit home for us. Number 2 was the apartment itself, the walk though was great. We loved the inside the minute we walked in. I can go on and on but simply put, great interior, location and price. We could have gone with something more expensive but me and my Fiance agreed this was perfect and thanks to Mishalei once again we are now moved in and settled into are place we now call home.

Our experience moving into these apartments has been great. Michel'le our leasing agent was so kind and organized making sure everything was ready for my move in date. I've lived here for over 3 years and love the property. Wish I didn't have to move but the rates have gone up substantially and I just started school and I have to budget accordingly, yes I'm a 50 year old college girl :). Thank you for a very nice place to live. The ladies up front are so very sweet, especially Sabrina, thank you so so much!! I'll miss you all, especially my view.

I moved in these apartments about 6 months ago, and while there were a ton of issues that I experienced in that time frame, one of the few bright spots was Desiree Flores. Not only did she step outside her responsibilities to help me, but I witnessed her do this for every customer that walked in the leasing office. She's very courteous, always has a smile on her face, and never had a attitude. How does she not run this property, or another property for this company??????

So I have been living here for about 2yrs now and I have never really felt comfortable enough to go into the office due to rudeness and unprofessional staff. I would do everything online so I wouldn't have to go in there. So last week it was a must for me to go in and I spoke with Desiree Flores about an issue we had and She could have not been any nicer, more professional and welcoming. She helped me with my issue and even did a follow up. Now I know from now on if I need anything Desiree will help me. Thank you Desiree!!!

Yeah, you get your occasional neighbor annoyances like people not leashing their dogs, not picking up dog poop, and sometimes people leave trash outside their doors for days at a time or the dumpster overflows. But as far as things within management’s control, it is perfect here. No matter where you live, you’re going to have occasional issues with the other stuff. That’s just apartment living for ya. Otherwise, neighbors are kind and courteous, the apartment itself is beautiful and spacious, the amenities are in acceptable condition, and everybody in the front office is very friendly and laid back. Overall, I feel very at home here and will be sad to leave whenever that time comes.

I have lived here for almost a full year now and I have to say I was very pleased with the help Linda and the rest of the management have given me. They are always willing to work with you if the need should arise . They are always kind and professional and always have smiles on when I walk in. My apt is very spacious with plenty of patio room. If the beautiful pool and gym don’t catch your eye then your giant bathroom sure will! Parking sure can be a pain but the complex management always makes sure to notify us in a timely matter and responds to maintanence request very fast. All in all I was pleased to call hill country villas my home for the time I’ve spent here. They are very friendly and I have not had any issues with violence or robberies. If your looking for an affordable place to live with a great location and highway access, then this is your spot. Take it from me 😌 thank you Linda and staff for all your help in making this place my home.

These apartments are beautiful! Management in the office is really helpful and informative. Only thing is the parking, but I really can't complain because it really is just parking. They do have reserved parkings I wouldn't mind purchasing but for the time being the place is gorgeous. Maintenance is fast I had called in a work order for my sink and it was done quick and with no problem which I thought was pretty cool also. I feel like they don't get enough credit seeing the previous horrible posts. I mean come on there are alot of residents here. I haven't had an issue, and I've been living here for about a year. Patios are spacious, and vinyl definitely beautiful! Never had an issue with management already from what I've noticed from the previous reviews...Overall, would recommend!

It’s been one week since I’ve moved in. The office staff has been professional, and very attentive! Mariah has been super sweet and helpful, especially since this has been my first living in an apartment experience. I’ve even had to put in a few maintenance request bc I have small children and I’m super picky about my new home. The maintenance man was there to fix everything in under 24 hrs. He went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the way everything was fixed. The issues in my apartment had nothing to do with the staff but with the last tenants. The apartments are a bit older and appliances can use an update, but I can honestly say the amount of space my boys have in their rooms, and the amount of space the apartment has, paired with the awesome staff, definitely makes up for it. Parking is like any other complex I’ve visited, at night it fills up, but I’ve never been without a parking spot or had to walk extremely far.

So far I have had the best experience with the leasing office compared to my previous complex. The staff has been accommodating and very friendly. There's no bad reviews other than the parking. Seems pretty difficult to find parking off of work rather than during the day.

Hill Country Villa is under new administration once more! I've lived here for a long time and inside those four years, administration had changed three times. No progressions were made to convey this community up to standard, until the point that the new administration diverted this more established community from a cubic zirconia, to a precious stone, worth remaining in. The staff is amazing, and the maintenance group are settling issues as they arrive. This new administration was given a wreck, left by long stretches of abuse to the community. Presently, I see the progressions occurring, as the new administration take control of it and make some radical new changes! I'm NOT being paid to compose this. I'm basically giving praise, where credit is expected! This is my first flat in the wake of resigning from the military and like numerous others, I too didn't care for these apartments. All things considered, with this new administration, I'm not in such a rush to migrate. Hill Country Villas, will at long last ascent, to be an incredible place to live. Despite everything they've done so far, they still have some ways to go. I figure I'll remain around a little while longer.

I have really enjoyed my stay and I’ve moved in two weeks ago. The atmosphere is great and community small. The management and Michael are really wonderful and amazing. When I moved in new management took over and there really great with keeping up with the property. Parking is bad sometimes but everyone need to walk sometimes,lol. The apartment space great and high Ceilings are another plus. You really will luck out if you can get apartment here but again small community so apartment go fast. I was one of the lucky few but more info about here is that you’re infront of elementary school and police do patrol in the area. I’ve actually jogged by sea world which was cool. The highway 151 behind you so it’s always best to take that route because Potranco rd is horrible traffic. This area of town is blowing up of entertainment and many things to do, so if you’re lucky you might have opportunity to get a great apartment for decent amount rent $$ and very nice small community. The staff Great!!! Notes.....No roaches!! Plus and no valet trash here, parking kinda bad but livable, water is added to usage of ur building, cable and go with anybody, take 151 to get of this area/work of crazy traffic on Potranco Rd, ppl are nice and animal friendly, okay big thing ppl pick up there dog mess - definitely plus. Community small but everyone respectful. Good luck hunting, I saw 12 apartment showing and was lucky I found this place 🙏😊

This review can be about how others don't follow pet or parking rules, but to me that shouldn't reflect the complex over something they can't control and give efforts to fix when brought to their attention. Have definitely seen some major improvements over the last couple of months. This is a older complex for the area, but personally that's what I prefer for the square footage you get. Staff always has great customer service from day I toured the complex all the way through my first year here. Maintenance completes work orders fast and Shantee was the one who initially handled all my move in questions and concerns and is now the assistant manager. Ask for her if you need anything and be treated with full respect & common sense. I had an application and move in date for The Falls right next door- which is newer, but there was no costumer service at all.

So I was reading these reviews on here and people have very high expectations for apartments. We moved into these apartments back in October of 2016! I love our apartments! We recently transferred to a bigger apartment and we ran into a lot of complications, but Shantee made it her job to make sure this transfer went as smoothly as possible! At the time she was just the leasing agent and the manager at the time did not know anything about what to do! Shantee got on the ball and figured everything out and got us moved into the bigger apartment! This apartment complex is the first apartment I’ve ever lived in and I’m glad I made the decision to make this our home(:

I moved out of these apartments in January 2016, but for the year I was there they were fine. First off, the buildings are old. If that's something that turns you off, don't rent here. The price was in my budget, the management was friendly, and they are pet friendly. Parking might suck depending on what time you get home, but if you pay for a spot, the towing company is very fast if someone's in your spot. The maintenance people were friendly and my work orders were usually resolved within one or two days. I had no problems with these apartments.

I was extremely impressed with Celeste and Megan in the office, they were not able to accommodate us but referred us to their sister property right away. Celeste even walked all of my paperwork over to their office and put in a recommendation. I travel a lot for work and have had many experiences with apartment managers. This experience topped my list. Management was more interested in getting people into a happy home than trying to figure out what kind of compensation their lease would bring. Thanks you guys.
